About Jonathan
Jonathan is a native of Hartselle, Alabama. Growing up Jonathan worked for Reeve's Peach Farm, picking fruit and vegetables to sell at the family-owned fruit stand. It was here that Jonathan gained an appreciation for hard work, the outdoors, and a deep understanding of the importance of land in our lives. Jonathan, his wife, Kristin, and two young children proudly call Marion home.
AlaLandCo- In 2008, Jonathan was invited to join the AlaLandCo team to service the historic Black Belt region of Alabama.
Jonathan is a licensed Realtor and member of the Lee County Association of Realtors as are all of the agents with AlaLandCo.
Jonathan currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Perry County Chamber of Commerce, and is an active member of Siloam Baptist Church in Marion.
Southeastern Cheese Corporation- In 2005, Alabama's only cheese manufacturer recruited Jonathan to be the Laboratory Supervisor for their facility. Jonathan's duties involve supervising the companies' wastewater treatment facility and the finished product testing program. Southeastern Cheese manufactures 500 pound barrels of cheddar which is processed into single slices used in some of America's largest restaurant chains. One of the obvious benefits is free cheese!
Eco-nomics, Inc. In 2006, Jonathan helped found Eco-nomics, which was the first company in Alabama registered with the Chicago Climate Exchange to help land owners and qualifying companies participate in generating and trading carbon offset credits.
Campus Outreach Gulf Coast- Campus Outreach is a campus ministry committed to helping college students grow in their faith and developing the leaders of tomorrow. Jonathan served with COGC for 6 years- 3 years at Troy State University and 3 years at the University of West Florida.
University of West Alabama- In 1999, Jonathan graduated from UWA with a degree in Environmental Science. Active in numerous campus activities, a few of his favorites were serving as president of Campus Outreach, a founding father of Sigma Pi Fraternity, and Intramural Coordinator for the campus recreation program. Although not receiving college credit for them, he tried to unofficially major in deer hunting and bass fishing. Although he did not excel in either he thoroughly enjoyed giving it a shot.
